Drainage cannot be provided, e.g. via deep drainage, in every area along a railway line. On the sealed surfaces of train platforms that are not protected by a roof, standing water has to be quickly and efficiently removed via suitable drainage systems so that it does not accumulate. Strict load-bearing capacity and safety requirements as well as special structural characteristics, for example a lack of available headroom, also make special drainage solutions a necessity, such as the robust MAXI drainage channel system and the flat HYDROline PRO system.
